When Convince, who lived in the slums of Kibeira, came to us for help she was just 13 years old and had been physically and sexually abused by her father.

We gave her refuge and when her father tried to take her back we became her 'voice' as she was too frightened to speak.

In front of a Judge in Karen, Nairobi she was given into our care and her father prohibited from making contact with her.

We provided her with an education and, at the age of 16, found her a position working in a home in Karen.
